Rich History, Beautiful Weather And Excellent Schools!
Canyon Country offers a rich history from the Mexican Independance of 1834, to the birthplace of the state’s oil industry, to the collapse of the Saint Francis dam in 1924. So much has happened to such a new community. Another first was in Canyon Country’s park, Placerita Canyon where the first discovery of gold was found! Today it is marked by the “Oak of the Golden Dreams” which still stands there today. Canyon Country homes for sale also boasts the first school in Santa Clarita, Sulfur Springs Elementary. In 1987 Canyon Country became incorporated along with three other communities in the Santa Clarita Valley and is now officially part of the City of Santa Clarita. Why Canyon Country?
I'm Happy To Tell You Why!
There is truly something for everyone in Canyon Country! Canyon Country homes for sale is a community and district within the City of Santa Clarita, located in northwestern Los Angeles County and about ten miles from the heart of Santa Clarita. It boosts more parks than any other community in Santa Clarita. A few of those parks are the Todd Longshore Park, Placerita Canyon Park, North Oaks Park, Canyon Country Park, Oak Spring Canyon Park, Begonias Lane Park. My favorite park is Todd Longshore Park! It is the perfect park to take in the fireworks and has a view to die for! We also have parks of a different kind as well – Like the Paint ball park located on Sierra Highway and the skate board park on Centre Point Parkway. These attract people both young and old that are ready to have some fun! Plan on giving yourself plenty of time so you can fully enjoy all that they have to offer! After enjoying a wonderful day at one of the many parks it’s time to eat! One of my favorite restaurants in Canyon Country is Piccola Trattoria! If you love Italian and Sicilian cuisine you must pay them a visit. Dress is casual and the atmosphere is intimate and inviting. Located off of Sierra Highway it is easily the best family owned business I’ve ever had the pleasure to eat at! The food is always fresh and tasty! Try it you will not be disappointed! If sushi is more your style then the Bonsai Garden
